Team Collaboration

ExpertMD supports team-based workflows for law firms. You can invite team members to your ExpertMD account and add collaborators to individual cases so your colleagues can help manage expert witness engagements.

Subscription tiers

The number of team members you can invite depends on your subscription tier:

To upgrade your subscription, navigate to Settings > Billing.

Inviting team members

Go to Settings > Team

Navigate to the Team tab in your Settings page.

Click Invite Member

Click the Invite Member button and enter your colleague’s email address.

Your colleague receives an email invitation. They click the link to join your team and create an ExpertMD account if they do not already have one.

Case collaborators

In addition to team members, you can add collaborators to individual cases. Collaborators can view case details, documents, and notes, helping you manage complex cases with multiple attorneys. To add a collaborator to a case:
  1. Open the case detail page
  2. Navigate to the Collaborators tab
  3. Click Add Collaborator and select from your team members
Case collaborators can only access the specific cases they are added to. They cannot see your other cases, invoices, or account settings.

Removing team members

To remove a team member, go to Settings > Team, find the member, and click Remove. This immediately revokes their access to all cases and data.
Removing a team member also removes them as a collaborator from all cases they were added to. This cannot be undone.
